Breaking News: The last print edition of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer will be published Tuesday. The Hearst Corp. announced that the P-I will become the nation's largest daily newspaper to shift entirely online.
抱歉，「你那邊幾點」重新開張，我就帶來個令人失望的壞消息。經歷146年的”Seattle Post-Intelligencer”因無法負荷長達九年以來的營運虧損，加上無人收購，於是，決定在3/17/2009退出印刷報業市場，僅保留網路版的新聞。
根據美國報業慣例，每個大城都有兩家以上報社進行日赴一日的殊死鬥，就像美國一向引以為傲的兩黨制。對於此事，休戚相關的”Seattle Times”已宣布接手部份”Seattle Post-Intelligencer”的平面事務，以及其他叫座的專欄/單元。
大學時期買的一本“走進美國大報”一書都還沒讀完，美國大報們一個個應聲倒地。
補充：這個事件被媒體們拿來與Denver的”Rocky Mountain News”相比，成立於1859的”Rocky Mountain News”在2/27/2009出版最後一刷的報紙，同時宣佈停止營運。

政大新聞系畢業校友潘思源捐贈新台幣1億元給政大，設立「政大思源基金」，投入傳播與文學領域。
政大將於明天3月18日舉行捐贈儀式，該捐款是政大創校以來，最大筆的個人捐款。
捐款將自民國98年至105年分八期捐贈，每年固定捐款新台幣1,250萬元。由於潘思源夫婦分為政大新聞系及中文系校友，捐款將用於政大傳播學院及中文系的學術發展。
